White-Label Banking App and SDK Development for Priority Commerce
One banking foundation for two product experiences: a standalone mobile app and an embeddable white-label banking SDK.
Celadonsoft transformed an existing PoC into a production-ready BaaS mobile app for iOS and Android. The shared architecture allows end users to manage everyday banking activities while partners embed the same functionality into their own applications.
Project at a glance
- Client: Priority Commerce, a North American payments and banking fintech company
- Client scale: 150,000+ connected merchants
- Products: Enterprise mobile banking app and white-label banking SDK
- Platforms: iOS and Android
- Services: Research, product engineering, QA, business analysis, and project management
- Team: Team lead, three engineers, QA engineer, business analyst, and project manager
Context
The client wanted to replace fragmented banking journeys with one mobile product for:
- registration and KYC;
- accounts and cards;
- payments;
- external bank accounts;
- transaction history;
- profile and security management.
The platform also needed a second distribution model. Partners had to be able to add the same banking capabilities to existing mobile applications without building every module from scratch.
The challenge
- PoC to production. The existing concept required production-ready architecture, integrations, security controls, testing, recovery flows, and release support.
- One foundation, two products. The standalone app and SDK had to share banking logic without becoming separate codebases.
- Multi-brand delivery. Each partner required its own themes, icons, localization, and available functionality.
- Reliable financial journeys. Users needed clear transaction states and safe ways to continue after interrupted onboarding or payment flows.
One banking foundation had to support both a direct customer product and an embedded partner product.
Mobile banking app
A cross-platform application for iOS and Android that allows users to:
- complete registration and integrated KYC onboarding;
- manage accounts, cards, and external bank accounts;
- make and track payments;
- review transaction history;
- manage profile and security settings;
- authenticate through OTP, PIN, Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint.
Financial journeys were designed with clear states and recovery paths for interrupted onboarding and transaction scenarios.
White-label banking SDK
Reusable banking modules designed for integration into existing partner applications.
The SDK allows partners to add banking functionality while preserving their own navigation, branding, and user experience. The standalone app and SDK reuse core logic and UI components instead of operating as separate products.
BFF and API layer
- A Backend for Frontend aggregates data from banking services.
- A dedicated API layer centralizes communication with server-side systems.
- Explicit integration boundaries reduce mobile-client complexity.
- Stable interfaces simplify testing and maintenance.
Multi-brand configuration
- Themes, icons, fonts, and localization are separated from core banking logic.
- Feature flags control the modules available to each partner.
- New branded products can be configured without maintaining separate codebases.
Security requirements
The product was engineered to support the controls defined through the client’s PCI DSS and SOC 2 programs, as well as Apple App Store and Google Play release requirements.
Celadonsoft’s scope

Team Composition
Designing transparent financial experiences

UX/UI design was developed at the Customer’s side, and our team was responsible for its technical implementation and a scalable component library creation.
Furthermore, the interface was implemented as reusable components, allowing us to support multiple brands within a single design system.
