Secure Multi-Role Support Platform for Domestic Violence Assistance

/

A secure digital platform connecting victims, volunteers, NGOs, and support organizations through anonymous communication and coordinated assistance workflows.

//

Context

Client type: Non-profit organization / social support sector

Core challenge: Build a secure, anonymous, multi-stakeholder support platform

Outcome: A scalable web platform with encrypted communication, support matching, and administrative control

//

Our client, a Scandinavian non-profit organization, asked us to build a secure platform that could connect domestic violence victims with volunteers and support organizations. The goal was to provide fast access to help through anonymous communication and create a scalable support infrastructure for future expansion.

Challenges Solved

//
  • Fear of identity exposure. Users needed a safe way to access help without revealing their identity.
  • Low trust in digital support services. The platform had to provide protected real-time chats and calls, with end-to-end data encryption.
//
  • Difficulty finding the right type of support. Users needed a fast and intuitive way to navigate different support categories.
  • Fragmented support ecosystem. The platform had to unify volunteers, NGOs, and public organizations within one coordinated support system.
  • Different support scenarios and user journeys. The system had to support both direct and more complex indirect assistance requests without increasing user friction.

Why was this project complex

//
  • The platform had to support complete anonymity without breaking usability.
  • Real-time communication had to remain secure across both chats and calls.
  • The system needed a reliable matching engine that could connect users with the right support actors based on request type and availability.
d
  • Multiple stakeholder groups had to operate within one multi-role platform: victims, volunteers, NGOs, and administrators.
  • The product needed a scalable architecture for future expansion and integration with broader public support systems.

Who We Built It For

//

Victims of domestic violence

People who need fast, secure access to help without revealing their identity.

Volunteers and organizations

Non-profit organizations, government agencies, legal support teams, and other organizations participating in a shared platform for coordinated assistance delivery.

Key Modules & Features

Anonymous Communication Layer

Encrypted chats and calls that do not require identity disclosure, designed to support safe interaction between users and support providers.

Support Routing by Category

A structured support taxonomy that helps users quickly choose the type of assistance they need, from legal aid to housing and safety support.

Matching Engine

Built-in logic connects victims with the most suitable support providers based on request type and volunteer availability.

Secure Real-Time Communication Infrastructure

A protected chat and calling system built around end-to-end encryption and a privacy-first approach.

Administrative Control Panel

A centralized administrative panel for moderating users and organizations, monitoring platform activity, and supporting platform growth without direct code changes.

System architecture overview

//

Web application

A browser-based interface accessible from any device, allowing users to onboard quickly, select support categories, and access anonymous chats or calls.

Backend platform

The core system is responsible for onboarding logic, request processing, matching, communication session management, and other privacy-sensitive workflow operations.

//

Real-time communication layer

A dedicated layer supporting encrypted messaging and calls while protecting both user anonymity and communication integrity.

Administrative panel

A control environment for managing platform participants, moderating organizations, and monitoring activity across the ecosystem.
